Egyptian TV shows footage of Mohammed Morsi in court

4 November 2013 Last updated at 14:04 GMT

Pictures have been shown on Egyptian television of President Mohammed Morsi arriving at court, where he has gone on trial.

He and 14 other Muslim Brotherhood figures face charges of inciting the killing of protesters outside the presidential palace in 2012.

Protests took place outside the court and elsewhere in Cairo, and there was also disruption inside the court.

The judge adjourned the trial until January.

The BBC's Orla Guerin was in court.
