Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has died aged 85 after spending eight years in a coma following a stroke.

As a general and statesman, Ariel Sharon played a key role in shaping Israel, and influencing the wider region.

Kevin Connolly reports from Jerusalem on differing views of Mr Sharon's legacy.
