Syria conflict: Fresh hopes for truce in Homs

10 February 2014 Last updated at 21:48 GMT

Fresh talks on a humanitarian truce are being negotiated in the Syrian city of Homs after hundreds of people were evacuated at the weekend, reports say.

Aid agencies and locals came under fire during the evacuation, with the government and rebels blaming each other.

The move came as the second round of peace talks between the two sides began in Geneva.

Bridget Kendall reports.
