Israel-Gaza conflict: Bodies recovered amid ceasefire

26 July 2014 Last updated at 18:17 BST

Gaza residents have been using a 12-hour humanitarian ceasefire, agreed earlier between Hamas and Israel, to recover bodies and gather supplies.

The total number of Palestinians killed in the conflict has now risen to 1030, many of them woman and children, according to the health ministry in Gaza.

Israel has reported 42 deaths, with most of the casualties soldiers.

Ian Pannell reports from Shejaiya.
