US plane makes emergency landing as hole appears in roof

Help

An airliner has made an emergency landing in the United States after a gaping hole in the roof caused a sudden drop in cabin pressure.

Southwest Airlines flight 182 from Phoenix to Sacramento landed safely at a military air base in Arizona.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fuselage to rupture.

None of the 118 passengers aboard were injured. They were later put on another flight to Sacramento, where anxious relatives awaited them.

Some of those on board described their experience.
