Seven injured in Queens, NY, crane collapse

Seven people have been injured in Queens, New York, following the collapse of a construction crane.

The accident happened in the Hunters Point Long Island City neighbourhood on Thursday afternoon. Workers on the site said the crane was lifting wood when it collapsed, trapping three people.

Construction worker Russell Robinson described hearing the "snap" of popping cables before the crane fell.
