Thousands have gathered in the US capital to mark 50 years since Martin Luther King's famous I Have a Dream speech on civil rights.
Crowds of activists came to Washington DC to commemorate the historic moment and hear speakers including the first black attorney general in US history, Eric Holder, and the mother of teenager Travyon Martin who was shot dead in Florida last year.
Many of those who made the journey to the Lincoln Memorial said Dr King's speech still had an impact on their lives five decades on.
