Some US landmarks to re-open

The Grand Canyon, the Statue of Liberty and Mount Rushmore are to re-open to tourists after state governments reached a deal with the federal government despite the continuing shutdown.

The states of Arizona, New York and South Dakota will use their own funds instead of federal money to run the landmarks.
