Toronto Mayor Rob Ford 'will weather the storm'

Rob Ford, Mayor of Toronto, Canada's biggest city, has admitted that he once smoked crack cocaine.

Speaking to the Today programme, Mayor Ford's lawyer Dennis Morris said he thinks the mayor will survive the controversy the admission has caused.

Mr Morris said: "I believe [Rob Ford] wishes to weather the storm. He loves being mayor, and the people love him."
