Iranian musicians shot dead in New York

12 November 2013 Last updated at 18:06 GMT

Four Iranians living in Brooklyn, New York, have been shot dead.

Among the dead are brothers Arash and Soroush Farazmand of the band Yellow Dogs, who had recently received political asylum in the US.

Police say another musician, Ali Akbar Mahammadi Rafie, shot the three other men before turning the gun on himself.

Police believe that Rafie, 29, was upset after being thrown out of another band.

Roja Assadi reports.
