Obamas on life post-White House

29 November 2013 Last updated at 21:32 GMT

President and Mrs Obama have spoken about how they are preparing as a family for life after the White House.

Asked whether 15-year-old Malia was allowed to date, they told ABC's Barbara Walters they thought "about not just her life here but her life after... she has to get her training now, she can't wait."

With Mr Obama's poll ratings in a slump, Ms Walters asked if the First Lady would have made a better president - to which Michelle Obama replied that she did not have the patience.
