US and Canada braced for more snow storms

Parts of the north-eastern United States and Canada are bracing themselves for more heavy snow and freezing temperatures, as a "polar vortex" envelops half of the continent.

Forecasters are predicting that parts of the Mid-West could see record-low temperatures in the coming days.
