State of the Union: President Obama's Full speech

US President Barack Obama has vowed to make 2014 "a year of action" in his annual State of the Union address to Congress.

He pledged to bypass Congress if necessary in order to tackle economic inequality and raise the minimum wage.

On foreign policy, Mr Obama urged Congress to close Guantanamo Bay prison in the next 12 months and threatened to veto any sanctions bill on Iran.
