30 January 2014 Last updated at 00:28 GMT

US President Barack Obama has said he will use his executive powers to by-pass Congress and boost the US economy.

In the annual State of the Union address Mr Obama said that despite four years of economic growth, inequality had become a bigger problem for the country.

He promised a "year of action" and announced a rise in the minimum wage for some federal workers. On Wednesday he toured small businesses in Maryland, promoting his message.
