12 March 2014 Last updated at 10:40 GMT

A US man called the emergency services after a cat "trapped" his family in a bedroom in their house in Portland, Oregon.

The 22lb (10kg) Himalayan cat, Lux, scratched the family's seven-month-old baby on the forehead.

The man then kicked the animal, sending it into a rage, and prompting the family to seek refuge in a bedroom.

The child suffered minor scratches and did not require medical assistance.

Police in Portland were able to capture the cat, who was left in the custody of the family.
