Bodies of seven babies found in Utah house

14 April 2014 Last updated at 19:31 BST

A woman in the US state of Utah has admitted strangling and suffocating six of her own newborn babies, police say.

Megan Huntsman, 39, was arrested on Sunday after her estranged husband discovered remains in boxes in a garage and alerted the authorities.

A total of seven bodies were found by police at the house in Pleasant Grove; it is unclear why she has only been charged on six counts.

Neighbours have described their shock.
