Tornado strikes Orrick, Missouri

A tornado has ripped through a small town in Missouri, severely damaging homes and downing trees and power lines.

The tornado struck Orrick on Saturday night. Local media reported that there had been no injuries or fatalities.

Orrick has a population of approximately 800 residents and lies around 30 miles (50km) northeast of Kansas City.

One eyewitness, Paul Schmidt, in the neighbouring state of Kansas filmed the tornado.
