New Hampshire house explodes after policeman is shot dead

A policeman has been shot dead by a man who was later killed in a house fire, according to authorities in New Hampshire.

Stephen Arkell was responding to a domestic dispute at the property in Brentwood when he was fatally shot.

The suspected gunman Michael Nolan is believed to have died in the ensuing blaze at the property.
