An investigation is under way after NASCAR star Tony Stewart was involved in a fatal incident at a race in New York.

Fellow driver Kevin Ward Jr, 20, was killed after reportedly stepping onto the track on Saturday to confront Stewart about a collision a lap earlier.

Philip Povero, Ontario County Sheriff, said Mr Stewart was "visibly shaken." He is not facing any charges.
