James Foley killing: Parents 'did not watch video'

The parents of James Foley, the American journalist who was killed by Islamic State militants, have spoken to journalists about their loss.

John Foley said he was deeply shocked at the beheading of his son, and called him a "martyr for freedom".

Speaking at a news conference at the family's New Hampshire home, Mr Foley's mother, Diane, said they had not watched the video of the killing.
