Lessons from a US town with majority Muslim city council

As Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump defends his comments about banning all Muslims from entering the US, many cities in America are adjusting to changing demographics. Hamtramck, Michigan is one of them.
Once heavily Polish Catholic, the Detroit-area town has seen a number of Muslim immigrant communities - isolated from each other by language - each building their own mosque.
Now Hamtramck has become what is thought to be the first American town to elect a majority Muslim city council. But as BBC Urdu's Brajesh Upadhyay found, the residents are still trying to strike a balance.
