From African village to architectural heights

Architect Francis Kere is bringing a new aesthetic to the world of architecture.

In a field long-dominated by giant skyscrapers and grand houses, the Burkina Faso native is winning international attention for much simpler designs.

Now American audiences can see his work for the first time at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Jane O'Brien went to meet him as he was putting the finishing touches on some surprising installations.
