Dog charity Blue Cross says it has seen an increase in the number of Staffordshire Bull Terriers being brought into its shelters.
It says it is down to people having accidental litters when they haven't got their dogs neutered, or owners failing to make money from selling puppies because so many are already being given away for free.
Hannah Wiltshire works at the Burford Blue Cross Shelter in Oxford and looks after hundreds of stray or abandoned dogs every year, including Buddy.
She explains how much time a dog like Buddy can take to look after and gives tips on how to prepare for owning this type of pet.
