Mount Etna eruptions snapped from space

Mount Etna

An astronaut has captured an amazing image of Mount Etna erupting - all the way from space.

Chris Hadfield is a Canadian astronaut on board the International Space Station.

Earlier this week he tweeted snaps of Scotland, taken when the station was above the country on a clear day.

Mount Etna, in Italy, is the largest active volcano in Europe. It started erupting on Thursday.

The eruptions aren't dangerous, but people living nearby will now have to deal with days of heavy ash fall.
