X Factor fans - it's time to face the musical!

It's been announced that a new stage show based on the hit TV programme is being made.

The production, which is being dubbed a "musical comedy", will hit London's West End in early 2014.

The show's main character will be called Chenice, described as 'the only girl in the world who has never heard of The X Factor'.

When she accidentally stumbles into the audition queue with her talking dog, she starts a journey to both stardom and love.

The musical's being made by the company behind UK theatre hits like Hairspray, Sister Act, and Disney's High School Musical 1 & 2 as well as Simon Cowell's company Syco Entertainment.
