All these intricate designs are in fact carved from pumpkins.

Making creepy lanterns is a favourite Halloween pastime for many families.

But for Noel Dickover in Virginia in the US, it's more than that.

It's a chance to create beautiful, ephemeral art.

And share his fondness for Star Wars characters.
