Lionel Messi will captain Argentina in Sunday's World Cup final against Germany

The father of 27-year-old Argentina captain Lionel Messi says his son is suffering from exhaustion ahead of Sunday's World Cup final against Germany. Daily Telegraph 

Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero, 27, thanked Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal for the help he has given him after the two nations' World Cup semi-final meeting. Van Gaal signed Romero when manager of Dutch club AZ Alkmaar in 2007. Guardian
