Jessica Ennis-Hill is fit to compete at Anniversary Games

Jessica Ennis-Hill has confirmed she will compete at the Anniversary Games despite a recent Achilles problem.

The Olympic champion heptathlete, 27, will feature in the 100m hurdles and the long jump at the event, which marks a year since the opening ceremony of the London Olympics.

Ennis-Hill competed in the javelin and long jump at a meeting on Tuesday.

"My Achilles has responded well these past couple of days so Olympic Stadium here I come," she tweeted. 

"Not the best preparation but I will give it my best shot."

Ennis-Hill was forced to put off her return from the injury on five occasions. but she set a personal best in the javelin and also won the long jump in Loughborough on Tuesday.

She will now feature at the Olympic Stadium at the three-day meeting, which takes place between 26-28 July.

The heptathlon at the World Championships in Moscow will be the first time she has competed in the event since the London Olympics.
