Essex CCC eye Olympic Stadium for Twenty20 matches
The chairman of Essex County Cricket Club, Derek Bowden, has told the BBC he is keen to stage Twenty20 matches at the Olympic Stadium.
West Ham United were named as anchor tenants of the venue last month and are set to move in from August 2016.
The decision over whether to allow cricket to be played at the venue is likely to lie with the London Legacy Development Corporation, who said they were "open to additional uses" for the stadium.
