Yorkshire have revealed that South African batsman David Miller will not be returning to play for the county in this season's FL t20.
Miller helped Yorkshire to
finals day for the first time last year
and played for them in the Champions League.
However, the 24-year-old has decided he needs time off ahead of his country's one-day and T20 tour of Sri Lanka.
"We are a little bit disappointed but we understand the reasoning," coach Jason Gillespie told BBC Radio Leeds.
"He's been away from home for a long time because of the IPL and his commitments with South Africa.
"We thought we'd have him for the two-week period before their tour of Sri Lanka but unfortunately that won't be happening and it leaves us without an overseas player for the competition
"We'll explore opportunities but that's not to say we'll go down that path. If we don't bring anyone in then we're comfortable with going with our current players."
