Matthew Hoggard: Ex-England bowler says time is right to quit
Former England bowler Matthew Hoggard says he has been pondering retirement for about three months and says he is relieved to have finally made the decision to hang up his boots at the end of the season.
He told BBC East Midlands Today that he has not lost his love for the game but says bowling is getting harder and harder and he needs to listen to his body.
The 36-year-old represented his country for eight years from 2000 and took 240 Test wickets in 64 matches.
