    West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has admitted his interest in signing Blackburn Rovers full back Martin Olsson - should the Swede became available. Allardyce worked with Olsson during his tenure at Ewood Park.

    Just six months after leaving Chelsea on a free transfer to head to China, CaughtOffside says that according to his agents, striker Didier Drogba is set to return to Europe with Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus vying for his signature.

    FA CUP

    There is a reminder of one of the most famous FA Cup finals in history this weekend as Coventry take on Spurs in the third round of the Cup in a repeat of the 1987 decider which Coventry won 3-2. Sky Blues goalkeeper Steve Ogrizovic tells BBC Sport about his memories of the day.

    Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says he is "not panicking" over Rio Ferdinand's contract situation. Ferdinand's deal expires this summer, leaving him free to negotiate terms with continental clubs now, or to leave for free at the end of season.

    New Newcastle signing Mathieu Debuchy reveals to The Chronicle that David Ginola and Kevin Keegan's old Entertainers team inspired him to sign up with the club. The 27-year-old defender signed from Lille on Friday.

  12. 0952: 

    The Daily Mirror reports that Paris Saint Germain hope to sign both Ronaldo and his Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho this summer. The Portuguese pair are both set to leave Spain at the end of the season and PSG's president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is keen to make a double swoop.

  13. 0944: 

    Uruguayan defender Sebastian Coates will be allowed to leave Liverpool on loan if the club can find adequate cover.

    According to the Liverpool Echo, manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed the 22-year-old is in need of regular first-team football and would be happy to allow him out of Anfield on a short-term deal.

    On Sunday's 5 live Sport, presented by Ian Payne, there will be commentary of Swansea v Arsenal (13:30) and Mansfield v Liverpool (16:00) while on Monday, 5 live Sport with Mark Chapman will feature Cheltenham v Everton (19:45).

    Robbie Keane tells Sky Sports that he is not considering a winter loan move to the Premier League after signing a new two-year deal at LA Galaxy. The Republic of Ireland striker had a spell at Aston Villa during last year's MLS off-season, and has been linked with several English clubs, including QPR. He said: "It's been a long season, with the Euros and what have you. I've a few little niggles that need to be sorted out so I don't think at this moment in time it would be right for me to go anywhere."

    Blackpool winger Tom Ince is on the verge of completing his move to Liverpool, reports The Championship club have lowered their price tag from £8m and a deal is expected to be completed at around the £5-6m mark. Liverpool had an offer for Ince rejected last month.

  18. 0918: 

    The Independent reports that QPR have emerged as the frontrunners to sign the Marseille forward Loic Remy. The 26-year-old has been a long-time target for Newcastle but the London club are also prepared to meet the Ligue 1 club's £10m valuation.

    So, what has happened so far in the January transfer window? Among the highlights, Demba Ba moves from Newcastle to Chelsea and could make his debut against Southampton in the FA Cup, Joe Cole is back at West Ham after moving on a free transfer from Liverpool and Germany international Lewis Holtby agrees to join Tottenham from Bundesliga side Schalke in July.

    Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder's agent tells BBC Sport that the player would consider moving to a top Premier League club but is "absolutely not interested" in joining QPR. Sneijder has not played for the Italian side since September because of a contract wrangle and has been linked with QPR.

    Meanwhile, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has accused Tottenham of "blatant manipulation" over the signing of defender Zeki Fryers and wants the Premier League to investigate the deal.
