Morton 2-0 Cowdenbeath

Reece Hands scored on his debut as Morton opened their Scottish Championship campaign with a comfortable win over Cowdenbeath.

The midfielder's swerving 25-yard effort gave the hosts the lead midway through the first half.

Archie Campbell doubled Morton's lead in the second half when he collected Dougie Imrie's cross and unleashed a left-footed strike into the top corner.

Cowden went down to 10 men when Thomas O'Brien received a second booking.
