As it happened

  1. 2200:

So a couple of surprise results in Europe as Serie A leaders Roma surrender their 100% league record at Torino, who held them to a 1-1 draw, while over in France Lille stunned previously unbeaten Monaco 2-0. Always a surprise in store in European football and we will be back with more live text commentary goodness next weekend. Until then, goodbye!

  2. 2156:
French Ligue 1FULL-TIME- Lille 2-0 Monaco
    Lille's Nolan Roux

All over in Lille and they jump above Monaco with a superb win over Claudio Ranieri's side. Nolan Roux's two goals won the game but special mention for Lille keeper Vincent Enyeama, who made some absolutely crucial saves. First league defeat of the season for Monaco and a blow to their hopes of battling Paris St Germain for the championship.

Wow! Unbelievable stuff from Vincent Enyeama. The Lille keeper first denies a powerful Radamel Falcao strike before immediately keeping out an Emmanuel Riviere strike from point-blank range.

  6. 2150:
    French Ligue 1Lille 2-0 Monaco
    Vincent Enyeama

Vincent Enyeama has been an absolute rock for Lille and the Nigeria international goalkeeper frustrates Monaco again when he confidently catches a free kick into the box. If he keeps Monaco out it will be seven league games without conceding for the shotstopper.

  7. 2148:
Italian Serie AFT: Torino 1-1 Roma

You would think Torino have just won a cup final.

The home side are milking the crowd's reaction by holding hands as a team and running and bowing to the fans behind the goal.

Torino's head coach Giampiero Ventura also seemed to enjoy the point, punching his own dug-out in joy when Alessio Cerci levelled.

It was a gutsy display but perhaps a little over the top? They still haven't won for seven matches.

All good things have to come to an end but, boy, how good has the start of the season been from Roma.

Despite some heavy late pressure, Roma were unable to find the winner that would have made it 11 wins a row at the start of the season, but they have extended their lead at the top of Serie A to three points.

Torino deserve massive credit for their second-half efforts and Alessio Cerci's leveller was probably the least they deserved.

  12. 2136:
Italian Serie ACLOSE!- Torino 1-1 Roma

Roma are now well on top but, as Marquinho sees a curling strike from the edge of the area go over the bar, Torino move closer to a hard-fought point.

French Ligue 1GOAL- Lille 2-0 Monaco (Nolan Roux 71 mins)
    Lille's Rio Mavuba

Well how about this? Lille, who spent around £3m in the summer, are on their way to condemning the big spending Monaco to their first league defeat of the season.

Their second goal comes about when Monaco's £50m striker Radamel Falcao has a shot saved and Lille immediately counter through Salomon Kalou, who slips in Rio Mavuba and the home side's captain unselfishly squares for Nolan Roux to tap in.

  14. 2132:

The visitors are pushing hard for a winner though with Adem Ljajic's swerving free-kick beaten out by Torino goalkeeper Tommaso Padelli.

French Ligue 1CLOSE!- Lille 1-0 Monaco

Monaco have been better this half but Lille look dangerous on the break and they almost add a second when one such swift counter results in them winning a corner. Nolan Roux takes it, swinging the ball towards goal and it looks to be heading in before keeper Danijel Subasic pushes it over.

  18. 2126:
    Italian Serie ATorino 1-1 Roma

There is 10 minutes left here for one side to find a winner.

I'm sure Roma would have taken 10 wins and a draw from their first 11 matches at the start of the season but winning can't help but make you a little greedy.

A glance at Roma's next three fixtures, home matches against Sassuolo and Cagliari followed by a trip to Atalanta, and if they could find a winner this evening you could see the run continuing for a while yet.

Spanish La LigaMalaga 2-2 Real Betis

Plenty of goals going in over in Spain where Malaga and Real Betis are currently level at 2-2 with around 20 minutes remaining. Roque Santa Cruz put Malaga ahead before Joan Verdu equalised. Elsieu regained the lead for the home side but that lasted all of two minutes as Jordi Figueras brought Betis level again. Which way will this encounter go?

  21. 2120:
Italian Serie ASUBSTITUTION- Torino 1-1 Roma

Roma boss Rudi Garcia shows his attacking intent by replacing centre back Mehdi Benatia with midfielder Marquinho. He isn't going to let this winning streak go without a fight.

This game is so finely balanced, it could go either way still.

  22. 2119:
French Ligue 1PENALTY APPEAL- Lille 1-0 Monaco

Lille get lucky as Monaco are denied a strong call for a penalty. James Rodriguez's smart pass cuts open the home defence and Layvin Kurzawa looks to get to the ball but is stopped by a Lille defender as he does so. Nothing given.

    Italian Serie ATorino 1-1 Roma

Alessio Cerci is having some season for Torino as he scores his eight goal to cement his place as second top scorer in the league so far this campaign.

Torino have thoroughly deserved the leveller, having played a far more attacking game at the start of this half. Now lets see how Roma respond to conceding just a second goal of the campaign.

Goals from Senegal striker Dame N'Doye and Aleksandr Samedov put the visitors in control, before Yura Movsisyan gave Spartak hope before the break.

N'Doye scored his second of the game on 77 minutes to secure victory and move his side clear in second-place in the Premier League.

  33. 2057:
    Italian Serie ATorino 0-1 Roma

Torino have a half-hearted shout for a penalty against Federico Balzaretti. They are adamant the defender handled the ball in the area but, in a crowded box, it was almost impossible for the referee to see.

Replays show the ball did strike the defender's hand but it was more ball to hand than hand to ball.

A good half for the home side, who kept Monaco at bay throughout and in truth, the visitors did not have a real chance of note. Lille are good value for their lead, but they will need to produce more of the same in the second half if they are to condemn Monaco to their first league defeat of the season. A long way to go yet.

Monaco win a free kick in a promising position, some 25 yards from goal when Radamel Falcao is fouled. James Rodriguez curls the ball in but it is too close to Lille keeper Vincent Enyeama, who catches confidently.

Monaco have woken up a little bit after going behind and Lille breathe a sigh of relief as Yannick Ferreira Carrasco races on to a poor back pass, Vincent Enyeama is off his line sharpish to get to the ball just in time to poke it away, but only as far as Radamel Falcao, who tries an audacious first-time effort with the Lille keeper stranded, but the ball sails over the bar.

So far so good for Roma - only just though.

The Serie A leaders haven't clicked into gear and, surprisingly for a team who have only conceded once all season, look a little fragile in defence.

But Kevin Strootman's strike is the difference so far as they remain on course for an 11th straight win.

  42. 2033:
Italian Serie AGREAT SAVE!- Torino 0-1 Roma

It is real end-to-end stuff here with Alessio Cerci causing Federico Balzaretti all sorts of problems every time he runs at him.

    Lille's Nolan Roux

A goal at last and it has not gone the way of the expensively assembled Monaco side. Marka Basa jumps at a height that belies his size to direct the ball goalwards and Nolan Roux gets a crucial final touch to poke the ball beyond Monaco keeper Danijel Subasic, who had already committed himself in the direction of Basa's initial header.

Juventus and Napoli must be wondering when Roma's perfect start to the season is going to end.

In truth, Rudi Garcia's men haven't really found top gear yet this evening but so far are doing enough to keep their winning start going,

Only just though, as danger man Alessandro Cerci has a speculative curling shot palmed clear by Morgan De Sanctis.

  45. 2024:

  46. 2023:
    French Ligue 1Lille 0-0 Monaco

Great atmosphere at Lille, although there has not been a great deal to cheer about so far. Both sides are defending well, although Salomon Kalou fails to make the most of a good chance for the hosts when Rio Mavuba nods the ball across the face of goal for the former Chelsea man, who stabs the ball well over. He was under pressure from a Monaco defender in fairness.

Half a chance for Lille as a free kick is hit with some pace into the area and Pape Souare rises to meet it, but he gets too much height on his header and Monaco goalkeeper Danijel Subasic is happy to watch the ball land on the roof of the net. Of the 27 goals Inter have scored this season, 23 have come from South American players, two from Japan midfielder Yuto Nagamoto and one from Algerian Saphir Taider. Argentine Rodrigo Palacio had put Inter ahead, before Ranocchia volleyed in with just under half an hour gone. Ricardo Alvarez completed the scoring in stoppage time at the end of the game.

Roma are not the only unbeaten side in action as some 600 miles away Monaco head to Lille looking for their eighth win in 12 Ligue 1 games.

Claudio Ranieri's side have been slugging it out toe-to-toe with Paris St-Germain at the top of the table this season, with the latter three points ahead but having played a game more. It won't be easy for Monaco, though, with Lille just two points behind them in the table after winning five of their last six games.

Monaco have scored two goals in each of their last three league games, while Lille have hit five in their last three, conceding none. It promises to be a real cracker.

If life wasn't hard enough for Torino at the moment, having not won in the league for six matches, they know an almost impenetrable defence stands between them and moving up into the top half of Serie A.

Rudi Garcia's Roma have only conceded once in the league this season, in their 3-1 win at Parma in September, while their goals for tally of 24 is the equal highest in the division.
