Poor free-kick cost Cardiff in Aston Villa defeat - Mackay

Cardiff manager Malky Mackay says giving a away a "poor free-kick" cost his side as they were beaten 2-0 in their Premier League clash with Aston Villa .

Mackay says it a case of "lessons learned" after Villa winger Leandro Bacuna curled in a spectacular free-kick to give the hosts the lead fifteen minutes from time. Libor Kozak's header put the result beyond doubt eight minutes later.

Bacuna's goal ended a seven-and-a-half hour goal drought for Villa who hadn't scored since their 3-2 win over Manchester City on 28 September.
