Martin O'Neill excited by Republic of Ireland appointment
New Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill says he had "no hesitation" in accepting the position.
The former Northern Ireland captain added that he expected assistant Roy Keane to do "a terrific job" as his number two.
O'Neill was also enthused by the idea of an all-Ireland team being involved in a charity match every two years, hailing it as "a splendid idea".
