Arsene Wenger baffled by Nicolas Anelka celebration
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he does not recognise the controversial 'quenelle' goal celebration that Nicolas Anelka used after scoring twice in Saturday's 3-3 draw at West Ham.
Wenger believes the reaction to the celebration has been over the top but adds that players should not do anything that may "encourage hate".
Former Arsenal striker Anelka has agreed not to use the gesture again after complaints that it was anti-Semitic but has said that he did it in support of comedian Dieudonne M'bala M'bala, who the French government is trying to ban from performing.
