Everton 2-1 Aston Villa: Mirallas a star player - Martinez

Everton boss Roberto Martinez says Kevin Mirallas is developing into "an incredible player", after the Belgian winger struck a late free-kick to give the Toffees a 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

Villa were leading going into the closing stages of the match thanks to Leandro Bacuna's first-half goal, but Steven Naismith levelled before Kevin Mirallas struck a superb 25-yard free-kick with five minutes remaining to send the visitors to a defeat.

Everton against Aston Villa is the most-played fixture in the English top flight, and Everton have now moved into a 73-72 lead from the 198 league meetings, with 53 draws.
