Promotion-chasing Gateshead thrashed struggling Tamworth to leave the Lambs nine points from safety with five games left.

Jamie Chandler struck first, drilling the ball in from the edge of the area after a neat pass from John Oster.

Rob Ramshaw then fired low after collecting James Marwood's flicked ball, before Marcus Maddison picked up Chandler's through pass to slot home.

Ramshaw's attempted cross made it four before Maddison stroked in a fifth.

The result, Gateshead's fourth straight win, moves the home side to fourth in the Conference Premier while Tamworth lie adrift in 23rd spot.
