Fleetwood Town: Stephen Jordan signs new contract

Stephen Jordan has signed a new one-year contract with Fleetwood Town.

The 32-year-old left-back joined in the summer of 2013 and played 11 games as Fleetwood won promotion to League One.

Speaking to the club website,  Jordan said he was "over the moon" to have signed a new deal.

"It was a brilliant end to a great season for the club at Wembley and everybody says if you are going to get promoted, doing it via the play-offs is the best way," he said.

"The manager rang me whilst I was away on holiday and said that he wanted me to stay, so I am over the moon that I have signed a new deal.

"The club is definitely on the up and long may it continue."
