Jersey's Olivia Jordan-Higgins set for Spain qualifier

Jersey's Olivia Jordan-Higgins has said she is feeling confident ahead of her attempt to qualify for a spot on the Ladies European Tour.

She finished 48th on the money list in the 2011 LPGA Futures Tour in America and had retained her card for 2012.

But she is targeting a European place as well and will compete in Spain against hundreds of other hopefuls.

"I'm feeling quite confident, to move onto the European Tour would be great," Jordan-Higgins told BBC Radio Jersey .

"I've kept my card in America so I'm guaranteed to go back there no matter what happens.

"Really this is just going to be a bonus to me if I can make it."

Jordan-Higgins, 24, leaves Jersey on Wednesday to head to the Qualifying School  at La Manga.

She said: "I'm not too worried about it and I'm trying to stay as relaxed as possible.

"To qualify would give me more options and more tournaments to play."
