Jersey lose 5-2 to Lewes in Hockey Association Trophy

Jersey are out of the Hockey Association's national trophy after losing 5-2 to Lewes.

Jersey went ahead at Les Quennevais through Peter Millar, but the home side hit back three times before the end of the first half to take a commanding lead.

Miller scored a second to bring Jersey close but Lewes got a further two goals to send them into the semi-finals.

Lewes could meet Jersey's rivals Guernsey in the last four.

The Sarnians beat reigning champions Gateshead 7-3 in their quarter-final match.
