Denis Betts: James Rule says Widnes coach deserves new deal
Widnes chief executive James Rule tells BBC Radio Merseyside that he expects the club's progression to continue under Denis Betts, who has signed an extended contract to remain as head coach of the Vikings.
Former Great Britain international Betts, 44, guided Widnes to 10th in Super League last season and has targeted a top-eight spot in 2014.
Rule believes that goal is achievable and says Betts deserves credit for the job he has done since taking charge in 2010.
