The Jamaican bobsleigh team spectacularly crash out on their final run of the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada.
The team, consisting of Devon Harris, Dudley Stokes, Michael White, and Nelson Stokes, quickly became fan favourites largely because of their status as the ultimate underdogs, representing a tropical nation in a winter sport.
They had had very little practice going down a bobsled track before the Games, and borrowed spare sleds from other countries to compete.
The team was the inspiration for the major motion picture Cool Runnings, featuring John Candy as the team's coach.
