Derval O'Rourke has given organisers of this weekend's Irish Indoor Championships a boost by confirming that she will compete in Belfast.

In-form US-based athletes such as Ciaran O'Lionaird and David McCarthy are not returning home for the event but former world indoor champion O'Rourke will be at the Odyssey Arena.

The Belfast event will also include another Olympic Games-qualified athlete Paul Hession who goes in the 60m.

Hurdler Ben Reynolds will be in action.

Reynolds rivals will include 1999 world outdoor championship silver medallist Peter Coghlan who is attempting a comeback this season.
