Six Scots have been selected to represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in the Czech Republic in March.

Chris O'Hare (1500m), Guy Learmonth (800m), Allan Smith (high jump) and Jamie Bowie (4x400m) are in the squad.

They will be joined by Laura Muir (3000m), while Kirsten McAslan will race in the 400m and 4x400m relay.

Scotland is providing six of the 39-strong Great Britain team.

At the recent British Indoor Championships in Sheffield, Smith won the high jump title and Learmonth secured his first 800m title.

Muir won the 1500m race and McAslan was crowned 400m champion.

Four years ago at the European Indoor Championships in Paris, Scotland provided just one athlete for Team GB - Lee McConnell helped the women's 4x400m relay team to silver.

In Gothenburg two years ago, Eilidh Child made the team and claimed silver in the 400m as well as gold in the 4x400m relay. Child, however, has decided against competing in the indoor season this year.

Muir also represented Team GB in Sweden.

The 2015 championships will be held in Prague from 6-8 March.
