BBC Sport - Matt Hudson-Smith: 'The sky's the limit', says Rio-bound British 400m champion

'The sky's the limit' for Hudson-Smith

Wolverhampton athlete Matt Hudson-Smith tells BBC WM just how excited he is to have booked his place at August's 2016 Olympic Games in Rio with Sunday's 400m victory at the National Athletics Championships.

In clocking 44.88 seconds, the 21-year-old Wulfrunian's winning time was the fastest 400m recorded by any European this season.

"I'm so excited," said Hudson-Smith, from Birchfield Harriers, who has recovered from three stress fractures of his back over the last year. "The sky's the limit. My mum's in bits. To be honest, I didn't expect it."
