Laura Muir will target a fourth straight relay victory at the Great Edinburgh Cross Country next month.

The Scot, fourth and sixth in last summer's World Championship 1500m and 5,000m finals, returns for the annual event in Holyrood Park on 13 January.

She is joined by Alex Bell, Adam Clarke and Tom Marshall, the latter having anchored a British team to gold at the European Cross Country Championships.

Muir, 24, anchored GB to victory in the 2017 4x1km event in Edinburgh.

Newly crowned European U20 Cross Country champion Harriet Knowles-Jones, who won the junior women's title in Edinburgh last time, is included in the senior women's squad.

She will be joined by European senior cross country gold medallists Emelia Gorecka and Elle Vernon, plus European U23 bronze medallist Jess Judd.

Ben Connor, who finished sixth in the European senior men's race in Slovakia last weekend, will headline the senior GB men's team in Edinburgh.
