Great Britain's women suffered their second EuroBasket 2015 defeat in successive days with a 67-58 loss to Latvia.

Despite a good start and 22 points from centre Temi Fagbenle, coach Peter Buckle's team were undone by the world number 16 team.

Forward Anete Steinberga top scored for Latvia with 25 points.

Great Britain need a top 12 EuroBasket finish as they aim to secure further funding.

UK Sport scrapped its investment in the sport in 2014 and emergency funding was provided by SportEngland, which has set the top-12 target.

The first phase of EuroBasket 2015 consists of four groups of five, with the top three progressing into a second round comprising two groups of six.

The top four then go on to the quarter-finals as the tournament takes on a knockout format.

GB began their campaign on Friday with a 71-40 defeat by Russia. Their next contest is against Serbia on Sunday.
