Just in time for Mother's Day: BodyPositive's Most Inspiring Mums
At BodyPositive, we know that everyone's mum is the best mum in the world. Here's a list of some of our second-favourites!
Whether you agree with some of her most controversial statements or not, it's hard to disagree that Katie is a loving mum.
With five children under her wing, she has famously stood up for her disabled son Harvey - who is blind and has autism, ADHD and a genetic disorder called Prader-Willi syndrome - time and time again. She's so used to having to look out for him that she reportedly carries a card she gives out to stop people from staring.
Some might consider her bluntness about his condition to be uncaring, but we think actions speak louder than words - and over the years Katie has raised money for many children's charities.
She might have a famous husband, but Michelle is so much more than arm candy. She's a lawyer and a writer, and went to two of the United States' most famous universities - Harvard and Princeton.
But what makes her a great mum is that despite all of this, she has always made as much time for her family as possible. While Barack was campaigning to be president she promised her two daughters Sasha and Malia she would only be away from home one night a week and wouldn't campaign for more than two days a week.
She's also a huge supporter of many charities, and her rap on CollegeHumor encouraging young people to continue their education made us fall in love!
Don't underestimate Gwyneth - she's definitely not just a pretty face. She might use phrases like "conscious uncoupling" instead of the more straight-forward "divorce" but there's nothing complicated about her list of achievements.
She's best known for her acting - her awards cabinet could probably fill a room - but as a singer, she's gone platinum twice in Australia and has launched a lifestyle empire under her initials, Goop. All whilst raising two children!
The Express once asked whether Jo Whiley might be the world's coolest mum - we say yes! Jo has brought up four children, all while hosting radio shows, raising huge amounts of cash for charity and the rest.
Jada Pinkett Smith
A businesswoman as well as an actress and a singer-songwriter, Jada champions inner-city youth through the charity she set up with her husband. She's a super cool mum - she writes and sings for a heavy metal band, has a fashion label and is part owner of a basketball team, the Philadelphia 76ers.
But what really stands out for us is her love for her children, Jada and Willow. She's said to be a strict parent, but both of her children have found success at young ages and are known for the way they frequently challenge stereotypes - they have both credited this to Jada's parenting.
We love actress and writer Giovanna because of her recent Facebook post in defence of her post-baby belly. No woman should have to defend her body to strangers, but 11 days after giving birth? Ridic.
Her online comeback is ace, and husband Tom Fletcher's response has made us life-long McFly fans.
